Dr. Michael A. Powers

I have a passion for optometry and take special interest in doing everything possible to prevent the onset and/or progression of vision and eye health conditions. This is accomplished through early intervention and proper nutrition. I graduated in 1999 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. After graduating from optometry school I joined a group practice in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2002, my wife and I moved to Jacksonville, FL where I purchased a small optometry practice which is now Advanced Eye Care and Optical.

I have an amazing wife, Robyn, and five wonderful boys, Mylan, Jonah, Collin, Foster and Levi. The majority of my free time is spent enjoying my family. We love being outdoors and spend a lot of time strolling the beach and hiking trails at Hannah Park.
